Lindsay Webb

The greatest compliment that Lindsay Webb can receive from a client is their trust. As a benefits consultant, Lindsay takes great pride in the long-standing client relationships that have been built on trust during his 21-year career in the industry.

One of Lindsay's greatest lessons in business has been never to take existing clients for granted. He continuously looks for ways to enhance the service and value that he brings to his clients' business and he understands that little things can make a big difference.

This philosophy has served Lindsay well and helped him to build an impressive client list of leading organizations and businesses in Ontario, other parts of Canada, in the United States and Europe. Lindsay has extensive knowledge of labour regulations and plan design in different North American jurisdictions and offers specific expertise in representing the interests of U.S. and European employers in Canada and Canadian employers operating outside of the country.

Lindsay began his career in employee benefits as a group and pension specialist with a leading Canadian underwriter. Shortly afterwards, he joined the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, graduating at the top of his training class. But the lure of the business world was strong and after two years of community policing, Lindsay returned to the group insurance industry with a commendation from his RCMP Inspector and a deeply ingrained sense of integrity, commitment to hard work and attention to detail.

The decision to return to the world of business set Lindsay on the road to success. With 10 years of national insurance experience and nine years working with a multi-line brokerage firm, Lindsay's knowledge and insights have helped clients across the country to effectively manage their group benefit claim costs and minimize liabilities. At the same time, Lindsay looks beyond the costs and takes a long-term view when planning employee benefit programs for his clients. Short-term gains can sometimes result in longer-term pain and Lindsay is committed to serving clients through good times and bad with fact-based advice, comprehensive research and a thorough, transparent explanation of options, risks and benefits.

In 2007, Lindsay merged his own financial services and benefits consulting company with The Winch Group to share his specific expertise with other partners and take advantage of their combined years of knowledge and collective expertise.

Lindsay holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from McMaster University and a Group Benefits Associate designation from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. He is currently in the process of completing his Group Pension Associate designation.

When he's not working for his clients, Lindsay can often be found working for his community. He is an active volunteer with the United Way and the Heart & Stroke Foundation and has served on numerous local committees. He's also a regular coach and sponsor of community baseball and hockey, approaching minor sports with the same commitment and passion that he brings to his clients.
